1 Basic tools to
build the bins. Top left pipe cutter, ruler, 5 pound hammer.
Row 2 Scissor and ties.


2 3 The conduit
pipes and all the tools plus the green fencing.

4 5 Marilyn and Bob are measuring the pipes. Also the cutter is cutting the pipe.

6 The pipe is being hammered into the ground. Try to get all the pipes the same height.


7 8 All the pipes
are hammered in which creates the basic shape of the two bins.
The fencing material is put in position. The bins will have to front doors.

9 The excess fencing is trimmed with the scissor.

10 Wire tie is used to attached the fencing.

11 The bins are done. notice the 2 open doors.


12 13 We start the compost wit straw. Keep it light don't press it down.


14 15 Next use last years finished compost over the straw.


16 17 Green material. when the pile get to about one foot close the door wire electric wire.


18 19 Water the pile and add more straw.


20 Leaves and manure.


21 22 Alfalfa ( alfalfa is use for green) and soils.


23 Straw then more water.


24 25 Water and more straw.

26 More green.


27 28 Compost and brown leaves.


29 30 Old compost and more green.


31 32 Water and more manure.


33 34 Straw and more green.


35 36 Water, notice the different layer of material.


37 The Leaves are almost filing the bin. If you add more the pile will settle.

38 More green is added.


39 40 Straw is reaching the top of the bin.

41 The last of the green.
