Holiday Pot Luck Party for Volunteers is a Tasty Success
By Jill Weingarten

Our annual Holiday Pot luck Party for volunteers (12/19/04) may have been disappointing in number but certainly not in enthusiasm.

The choice of mouth watering culinary delight did not disappoint its participants either. There was middle eastern hummous, pasta and calamari dishes. Good oldı KFC seemed to make a hit along with other volunteersı famous southern fried, and spicy and orange chicken.  Of course Edna Waksı famous deviled eggs left no leftovers. Letıs not leave out the fabulous cakes and cookies that topped the afternoon dessert. Diana Durr you sure know how to bake a chocolate cake!

Presiding as Master of Ceremony, Alice Gupton (member of the Special Events Committee) led the tables in a sing-out of favorite Christmas carols that not only wowed the participants but even got the un-sing-able Marilyn Johnson to belt out a verse of Jingle Bells with some of the members of the Education Committee.

Mike Merlin and George Tsingis were both on board documenting the event with their trusty digital cameras.

A big thank you to all the members of the festivities who went to the trouble of decorating and creating a warm friendly and most inviting
dining atmosphere.
