The bed we are using.

The supplies that were needed, leaves, green scrapes,

'

leaves on left and straw on right.

Bean vines on left  (after beans are picked) and bags of peat moss on right.

The bed is ready, Marilyn show us the black gold make from last years compost.

The first layer of bean vines.

Peat moss is laid over it and then layer of straw.

The straw is wetted down and another layer of Peat Moss.

More water and another layer of vegetable pieces.

More leaves and another layer of peat Moss.

Water again. Then a layer of last year compost.

The final layer is grass a good source of nitrogen. A Tomato plant is planted.
